Thank you to everyone who came out for the first annual JMP Brides evening! It was so fun to see you all together for the evening!
Whilst I love all my brides separately, I thought it would be a fun to bring them together for a party. I figured they all had their similarities and would love to hang out and talk weddings. And let’s face it, no one likes to talk weddings more than brides (and me) so I thought let’s get everyone together and then they can go to town.
The fabulous and super sweet Bonnie from Petal and Posy joined us with her gorgeous and colorful flowers and Jan & Claire from Party on the Rocks supplied us with the most glorious cocktails. On the menu was blackberry spiked lemonade which was bourbon based and strawberry cucumber smash which was gin based. Dang they were good. I’m not normally a fan of bourbon (bad experience in my teens – ha ha) but I am convert now.
For me, being a wedding photographer, is so much more than just turning up on the wedding day, taking some photos, editing them and sending them to my client. For me it’s ALL about relationships, the more my couples trust and feel comfortable with me the more authentic the photographs will be, every. single. time. To be honest, though, it’s more than that – I just like people and helping them (and me) feel good.
My business has blossomed into more than I ever imagined it would be. As a Mom I get to be home with my young children and run a full time photography business. I mean, I don’t sleep a whole lot, but my life is so full with goodness I don’t even mind. Thank you to everyone that has helped make this my reality!
Here are a few photos from our first brides party.
A lot of my brides are from out of state or already had plans so were not able to come, you were missed. It was a little bit of a last minute decision to throw the party. Next year, I’ll give a little more notice and we will see if we an get more of us together.
