Elegant Garden Wedding at Froggsong Gardens Vashon Island WA by Joanna Monger Photography – Erika and Tom

Oh my goodness – what beautiful people and a beautiful venue! It was an absolute pleasure to capture Erika & Tom’s wedding photos at Froggsong Gardens on Vashon Island. Every corner of Froggsong Gardens is bursting with flowers and greenery. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream venue!

Erika and Tom are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of working with. They have an amazing amazing ability to make everybody around them feel loved and important and their happiness is absolutely infectious. Plus, their dance party was a blast, with really great music and incredible energy! From start to finish, Tom & Erika’s wedding day was filled with joy and celebration.

Tom and Erika met at Teach for America and even included their shared passion for teaching in a few wedding details. Guests made their own ‘snack packs’ as favors, and they hired a school bus to transport their guests back to the hotel or ferry dock.

Here are some of my personal highlights from the day:

• Tom and Erika’s happiness was absolutely infectious and made the day really special.  What wonderful people they are and I am SO happy for them!
• The appetizer bar was incredible!  BJ at ‘Herban Feast’ produced a great spread with salads, grilled figs, and tons of different toppings to go onto his toasted to order rustic bread.
• I love it when people make wedding traditions their own. Tom and Erika’s twists on the bouquet and garter toss where great. The bouquet toss was not restricted to the single ladies. All genders were included and encouraged. The garter toss transformed into a t-shirt sling shot, again for all genders. That was a first for me and was a huge crowd pleaser. It reminded me of when I first came to the USA and went to my first Sonics game. So fun!!
