Engagement Photos at Edmonds Marina Beach Park – by Joanna Monger Photography – Snohomish & Seattle Wedding Photographer

I had a great evening getting to know Cait and Colin at their engagement session at the beach at Marina Park in Edmonds, WA. Cait and Colin have a recent addition to their family: a little furry friend who they wanted in their photos. Adding a dog, especially a puppy is always a fun challenge to a photo session. We chose the beach at Edmonds because they have a great dog park right on the beach. We did the first part of the session with Pancho and then Cait’s friend kindly dog sat while we went to the beach next door for some pictures of just Cait and Colin. That sweet pup sure does have a lot of energy 🙂

I love that Cait and Colin are so sweet and laid back, they are a perfect match for each other!

In my usual fashion I asked Cait and Colin a few questions for us to get to know them a bit better. Here is what they said about each other.

Tell me something about when you first met?

Cait: On our first real date after we met we were leaving a place in downtown Seattle and headed to Salty’s on Alki when we both noticed that Colin was going down a one-way street the wrong way! I remember he said something cheesy about it was my fault because I had just kissed him and he was so distracted by me that he turned the wrong way.

Colin: When we first met we could not stop holding hands all night. I was so happy!

What’s you favorite thing about your him/her?

Cait: He is just the best person, he would do anything not only for me, but for anyone.

Colin:My favorite thing about Cait is how she loves me for me. She lets me do things that she knows I enjoy because she trusts me and cares about me. I love her for that.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Cait: We always enjoy going to sporting events together–baseball, football, basketball, college, professional–it doesn’t really matter what it is! We also really love weekend trips (or longer when we’re lucky) to places we haven’t been before–we like trying new things and new foods!

Colin:Make each other laugh, no kidding! Seeing her smile makes my entire day.

Give me three words to describe him/her??

Cait:Hilarious, loving, and adventurous.

Colin:Beautiful, hilarious, loving

What are you most excited about for the future?

Cait: I am excited to have babies 🙂 Our niece and nephew need cousins! And he will be a spectacular dad!

Colin:I am most excited the memories that we have not yet made. The ones I have already are so great, the ones to come are going to be incredible.
