Engagement Photos at Schmitz Park & Alki Beach, Seattle- by Joanna Monger Photography – Snohomish & Seattle Wedding Photographer

I had a lovely evening hanging out with Jeff and Nikki at their engagement photo session in West Seattle. We started at an awesome little park in West Seattle that, to be honest, I had no idea even existed – Schmitz Park and then we went to Alki Beach for sunset. Alki was absolutely rammed packed which was quite the contrast to the empty Woods Park we were just in.

Nikki and Jeff ooze style. It’s not really surprising considering she is a lingerie designer for Nordstrom. <Now that IS a cool job title 🙂  She is also a very talented artist in her own right so I was especially honored that she chose me to be her wedding photographer. As for Jeff, he has recently started his own sustainable landscaping company – how very PNW 🙂  You can check it out here if you are interested.

As per usual I asked Nikki and Jeff a few questions about each other for us to be nosey and get to know them a bit better. Here are their responses…

Tell me something about when you first met?

Nikki: We actually saw each other for months before we said anything to each other. I loved making eyes at him from across the room.

Jeff: It was love at first sight but neither of us was ready to admit we wanted to be in a relationship. As we spent more time together we surrendered to each others love.

What’s you favorite thing about your fiancé(e)?

Nikki: I love that he constantly teaches me things and opens my eyes to new things. He always makes me laugh.

Jeff: There is not one thing but the entire whole of her being.

What are you most excited about for the future with fiancé(e)??

Nikki: All the adventures we will have 🙂

Jeff: I’m most excited to travel more with Nikki. We have so much fun together and it is always extra relaxing away from day to day life.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Nikki: Hiking, gardening, exploring. I love seeing new things with him 🙂

Jeff: We like to explore the wilderness together with our puppy.

Give me three words to describe fiancé(e)??

Nikki: Handsome, Genuine, Patient

Jeff: She is brilliant, driven, compassionate, and gorgeous. That’s four obv.
