Engagement Photos at Gas Works Park in Seattle – by Joanna Monger Photography – Snohomish Wedding Photographer

Let me start of by saying out in the open I am rather in love Shaun and Lauren!! Lauren is my sister-in-law Jessica’s best friend and for very good reason, Lauren is such a sweetheart. It seemed for a while that every time I was on FB Lauren’s picture would pop up in a different bridesmaid dress – that’s got to say quite a lot about her I think 🙂  Luckily for Shaun it won’t be a bridesmaid dress she will be wearing next year during memorial weekend. I am so excited and honored that they chose me to be their wedding photographer.

Lauren and Shaun decided that they wanted to do their engagement pictures at Gas Works Park in Seattle where they had their first kiss – awww. If you haven’t been there it’s a very cool spot on the edge of Lake Union with great views of the city. There’s lots of funky old run down industrial looking machines, it’s hard to describe… you’ll just have to look at the pictures 😉

Shaun is a wonderful person and I couldn’t be happier that Lauren and Shaun met, he completes her in such a wonderful way. In my usual fashion I asked the two of them a few questions and here is what they said about each other…

Tell me something about when you first met?

Shaun: The first time I ever saw Lauren was at an Oregon Duck football game in Eugene. We made eye contact multiple times but never spoke. She had a glow about her, she stood out and it happened to be in one of our favorite places in the world, Autzen Stadium.

Lauren: It was at Autzen Stadium (Go Ducks). He had been messaging me on Facebook wanting to hang out and I was not into it. Then I saw him in person and was hmmm maybe I will reconsider.

What’s you favorite thing about your him/her?

Shaun: I love her sense of humor and ability to make me and others laugh. I also love how much she shows love and cares about the people she is close to.

Lauren: His laugh!! When he laughs really hard it is the best!

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Shaun: Going to Eugene for duck games or traveling.

Lauren: My favorite thing to do with Shaun is cuddle while eating desserts then top it off with a board game.

Give me three words to describe fiancé(e)?

Shaun: Gracious, Beautiful, Loving

Lauren: Giving to others, Patient, Loving

What are you most excited about for the future together?

Shaun: Having kids and starting a family.

Lauren: Starting our own family. He will be the best dad.
