This was the first ever wedding at Gala Events, a wonderful new wedding venue in Monroe, WA. I was so thankful for the indoor greenhouse space that completely saved us on this very rainy gray April day. I can’t wait to photography lots of lovely weddings in this wonderful new wedding venue.
My personal Wedding Highlights
Some of my favorite highlights of Christina and Ernest’s wedding would include:
The cultural elements infused into their ceremony. In keeping with Filipino tradition, the couple observed the coins ritual, symbolizing prosperity and commitment, the veil ritual, symbolizing unity, and the cord ritual, symbolizing the bond between husband and wife. It was deeply moving to witness traditions that were so meaningful to them and their family.
Later in the ceremony, the couple added a modern twist with a unity sandwich. When I saw this on the pre wedding forms they filled in, I wasn’t quite sure what it was, and for good reason—the unity sandwich was something they created! Essentially, Christina and Ernest made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich together, with the harmony of the combined ingredients being symbolic of their relationship. So very sweet!
The bride’s dress. Christina chose such a beautiful dress, with a form-fitting bodice that softly cascaded at the waist. Delicate buttons enclosed the back of her dress, while a crystal-studded sash offered the perfect amount of sparkle. Christina looked stunning, and I’m positive Ernest and everyone in attendance would agree.
The botanical greenhouse. I’m not sure words can do this greenhouse justice so instead, you’ll just have to scroll down to see its magic for yourself. It’s beautiful and the light inside on a gray day is just delightful!
In closing, please enjoy some of the photos from Christina and Ernest’s ceremony at Gala Events and Venue at Sky Valley Gardens, and feel free to leave them your well-wishes!
Christina and Ernest, a sincere thank you for choosing me as your photographer. It was such an honor to be a part of your special day! Heartfelt congratulations to you both!
