A Delightfully Simple Wedding at Belle Chapel in Snohomish

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful couple’s wedding, Ashley and Andrew. When we first met, I was immediately fond of them. Their relationship seemed so steady, and their deep love and admiration for each other was clear. Ashley and Andrew have been a couple for quite some time, having already started a family with two sweet children. Knowing this, I was even more overjoyed to photograph them as they made their relationship “official.”

For their wedding ceremony, Ashley and Andrew chose an intimate setting, Belle Chapel in Snohomish. Prior to their ceremony, we stopped at a local park for their first look. Wouldn’t you know, moments before Andrew was to see his beautiful bride, I noticed a white splotch on his crisp new jacket! Upon closer inspection, we discovered it was bird poop. What are the odds? Luckily, Andrew was such a good sport and like all seasoned moms, I’m never far from a wet wipe. He was cleaned up in no time and afterwards, we all had a good laugh. Apparently, it’s lucky to be pooped on, so that must have been a good omen, right?

Once their first look and couples portraits were finished, we headed over to Belle Chapel for their ceremony. Surrounded by family and close friends, their ceremony was simple and so very sweet. I really do enjoy small, intimate weddings. Closing out the evening, the wedding party dined at Trail’s End Taphouse & Restaurant in Snohomish, an excellent choice.
