Golden Gardens Park in Seattle is one of my favorite spots for engagement shoots and so I was thrilled when Nikki & Jeff approached me about their wedding at Golden Gardens Bathhouse. I am a big fan of the beach and old industrial looking brick buildings, and this venue is a perfect combination of the two.

Nikki is a lingerie designer for Nordstrom and Jeff has his own sustainable landscaping company. These two are recent implants from Ohio, but if I hadn’t know I would presume they were Seattleites through and through, well, apart from Jeff’s rather poor taste in sports teams!!

With Nikki’s amazing sense of design, I knew she was going to pull together a fantastic wedding. The bold colors and whimsical feel of their wedding really brightened up a slightly drab Seattle September day. Just as everyone gathered outside ready for the ceremony the rain teased us with a few drops and then as soon as Nikki appeared with her father, her bright smile sent the rain away. I am pretty sure Jeff wouldn’t have noticed if there was a tornado happening at the time, he was mesmerized by the sight of Nikki for the first time in her stunning wedding dress and frankly I don’t blame him one little bit.

Nikki and Jeff, thank you for trusting me to capture your special day, I hope you treasure your photographs for a very long time.
