A Dreamy Vintage DIY Fall Wedding

If I were to pick one word to describe Kate and Jon’s fall wedding at Dairyland in Snohomish, it would be “meticulous.” From the vintage touches, to the floral arrangements, and everything in between, it was obvious how much effort Kate has put into planning her wedding over the last year-and-a-half.  If you’ve been following her blog, All Things Kate, you’ll have caught some of the behind the scenes action. I was fortunate enough to watch it all come together. I’m thrilled to share it with you now!

Kate took the idea of personalizing her wedding and literally ran with it—every detail was perfectly planned. If Kate doesn’t change professions and become an event designer, I will absolutely be shocked!

Some of my favorite personalized touches were:

  • The PB & J appetizer bar, complete with homemade jam by the bride and groom
  • The remodeled, vintage his-and-her bikes
  • The bride’s gorgeously detailed, customized leather jacket
  • The thrifted vintage plates and silverware
  • The stunning flowers, featuring contrasting colors that absolutely popped

Of everything though, my ultimate favorite touch was “Tinsel the Trailer.” This pretty-in-pink trailer was used as a bar. Kate and Jon purchased this old trailer and majorly renovated it, customizing it so they could use it to serve drinks from. This was a mammoth undertaking. The groom even wrote a poem about it (be sure to check it out in the photos below).

As if that wasn’t enough fun, we had a quick photo shoot before the ceremony at their home, featuring their sweet cats! That’s a first for me, but it’s certainly a new tradition I can get behind.

What beautiful pictures, Joanna. I especially love the bride’s custom jacket—how killer is that??
